windshield repair

OS

Lifer
i got a chip in my windshield and the car is like 3 months old :frown:
is it worth it to get it repaired? I remember reading somewhere sometimes the resin falls out anyways.

I wouldn't worry about a chip unless it has the spider line(s) coming out of it then either have someone do it or buy the kit. I've had one last about 5 years without getting bigger that i did myself

Does your insurance cover it? If so, it may not cost much more than a $100 to replace the whole thing. Depends on how big it is of course. Personally, I got one fixed on my car that was about the size of a penny. The guy "sealed" it, and I think he did a good job. It was "free" as my insurance covered it. Took all of 15 minutes - the guy came to the house~
