hi..

there are a lot of this build versions released... so i just wanna know about them....heres my questions

*i know dat Windows XP is already pre-installed with new Branded computers on purchase... what build version are those ???

*im using Windows XP. when i run System Information Utility, heres what i get in the first page....

OS NAME Microsoft Windows XP Professional
VERSION 5.1.2600 Build 2600

what Windows version do i hav? i mean RC1 or RC2 or maybe something like dfat...

pls... help

Build 2600 is XP Final Version.

Windows 2000 is NT 5.0

Windows XP is NT 5.1 (which means it is a minor upgrade over Windows 2000)
