WindowsXP Power Managment Functionality With ABIT KG7 Problem, Help!

I installled XP about 3 months ago, and about a month ago, I found that the power management controls where inactive (you know: where one defines the time until suspend, screen off, hibernation etc...), indicating that there must be something wrong with the power management driver or XP. It worked perfectly prior to this, and it really puzzles me because I have tried reinstalling the default windows drivers and they don't seem to work with my ABIT KG7.
Can anyone help?
I do not know where to get the drivers from nor do i know which drivers to install to correct this problem.
