WindowsXP no longer allowing multiple instances of IE to run?

Helllo,

Something happened and I can no longer have more than one instance of IE runinng, for instance if I am reading a post with a url in it and click on it IE will close and then restart and go to the url I just clicked. Or if I am say doing a google search IE will no longer open a second instance when I click on a URL I found in a search. I do not know what cause this to happen but I though there was a setting some where that enabled opening another instance of IE when clicking on a url just do not know where that setting is located.

Thanks for any help.

In IE go to "Tools", "Internet Options", "Advanced" tab. Under Browsing uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".

If that doesn't fix it, then I have no idea.

Never seen this exact behavior your describing. Have you installed any add-ins to IE (toolbars, pop-up blockers, etc)?
