Has anyone made a plugin for explorer so it can view images other than jpgs/gifs as thumbnails? The two I would particularly like to see are pcx and tga.

i'm not sure how the file encoding works, but if a pcx is anything like a bmp, you can set the icon properties to
"%1" instead of a local icon in the registry under it's extension.

I'm not following... I didn't see a "%1" under the .bmp extention in the registry, there's a "PerceivedType image" though. However, windows/explorer/whatever still needs something read the image with, so I can't just force explorer to pretend tga's and whatnot are a known image format.
