I just did my weekly scan of windows update (XP pro) and there was a driver update. Microsoft Processor Driver update...any idea what this is about??

I installed it a few hours ago and there was no problems, infact went straight into gaming online after and had my usual gaming stability 🙂.
 
Probably the only thing new is support for Model 10 Athlon XP CPU's i.e. the Barton line of CPU's

Here's what's taken from the .inf file:
%AmdK7.DeviceDesc% = AmdK7_Inst,ACPI\AuthenticAMD_-_x86_Family_6_Model_10

Any folks using older Athlon XP models viz Palomino, Tbred, etc and are saying they have experienced better stability, performance etc are only getting the "Placebo Effect" 🙂
