WindowsME/Umax Scanner problem

Umax 2100U was working fine with 98SE. Changed to ME, now cannot get scanner to work. Have removed and reinstalled several times, no luck. Shows in Device Manager, no errors, says is working. Getting "ParktoHome" errors. Any ideas?
