Windows8.1 Why does my windows when restored fly off the screen where I can't access

I did a complete clean install of Windows 8.1 pro and have everything perfect now this.
When I try to restore a window that has been minimized it quickly flys off the screen to the right and I can't access it. This happens I think after the screen saver/login has been activated.
Is there anything that I can do to stop this?

That is not default behavior.
Did you at one time have multiple monitors?
Are you using any programs that modify windows?
Does windows key + up arrow work? If not, seems something (or someone) is playing a prank on you.

I have never had more than one monitor and it is my 4K
What do you mean by modify windows? I have ESET and Malwarebytes installed.
How could this be a prank?
Thanks

I am unsure of how to fix what's causing it but one of the handiest tricks I've found for this is to give the offending window focus (if possible) and hit Alt+Space then M and you can move the window in steps using the arrow keys. Solved some cases of missing windows that way :D

I thought 8 or 8.1 had fixed this issue in going from multiple to a single monitor.

Oh well. As has been said, there are steps to fix this.

Win+ up key works but I can't make the windows smaller after that and if I click on the icon next to the x button it minimizes it again.
What is going on?

Still doing it. I have never had multiple monitors with this PC.
Windows key + up arrow no longer work
