***Windows2000 Taskbar freezes***

I installed Windows2000 and everything was working alot better than Win98se, but after a day or so, the taskbar started freezing up. All the other windows are fine, but it shows the little "up and down" resizing arrows on the taskbar and won't let me click on the Start menu or anything else. I had to press CTRL-ALT-DEL and go to the task manager and the PROCESSES tab and had to end the explorer.exe process, and then started it up again. Anyone else having the same problem and figure out how to fix it?
