Windows2000 or Windows NT

Hi,
I am planning to partition my hard-drive and i wanted to load either the Windows NT or 2000 OS. Well i have windows 98 presently which supports most of my games 😀...On the other partition i like to run my applications, so i thought i use either the NT or 2000 OS.

Well 2000 being around i am not sure what do,bcos i feel the support for NT might gradually come down, so i am not sure what to do. Any suggestions.

Go with 2000. You can then run some of your game in 2000, plus you can see fat 32 partitions with 2000. You can not see them with nt.

Well Windows 2000 is Windows NT, version 5.

By NT I assume you mean NT4. You definately want NT5.

NT5 supports USB
NT5 can read FAT32 drives
NT5 supports directX 8
NT5 is also going to become Microsofts standard
- Windows XP is NT 5.1 (or 5.5 if you like), Win2k is NT5.0 so Win2k/WinXP is a relationship like Win98SE/WinME, where as Win2k/WinNT4 is like Win98SE/Win3.11

You definately want Win2000 (NT5) over Win NT4
