Windows XP's Restore Locks up

Whenever I do anything with Windows XP's system restore utility (either by accessing it through the start menu, or by right clicking on the "My Computer" icon, properties, system restore) I get this when I run it through my computer:

"Run a DLL as an App has encountered a problem and needs to close. "

Some details:

AppName: rundll32.exe AppVer: 5.1.2600.0 ModName: srrstr.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.0 Offset: 000090de

When I try to run it through the start menu:

System Restore Application has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Some details:

AppName: rstrui.exe AppVer: 5.1.2600.0 ModName: srrstr.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.0 Offset: 00008f73

I've replaced my rundll32.exe, srrstr.dll, and rstrui.exe files and it didn't help. Any other ideas?

Thanks.
