Windows XP's bashful status bar

Heya,

I know this is a pretty minor problem, but it's bloody irritating. Why does the status bar in Windows XP keep disappearing? I have to keep enabling it all the bloody time, both in Windows Explorer and IE. Any ideas??

Open windows explorer...

View menu...

Status bar...

Tools...folder options...view...two tabs at top...like current folder... click it!!!

It's done!

ooh.... thanks 🙂

Thanks for the advice, but it doesn't help much I'm afraid. I don't WANT to use the same settings for all folders, I just want the status bar to always be displayed in IE and explorer. And the tip doesn't do anything for IE.

God I hate Microsoft sometimes.
