I'm thinking of upgrading to Windows XP x64, I'm not interested in Vista right now. And I wanted to here from some of you out there that are running x64...what are you opinions, problems...etc. with x64. I know a lot of things still do not have drivers. But are you having any specific problems with it?

TIA!

I haven't had any problems other than lack of (working) drivers for my M-Audio Revolution 7.1 and non-compatibility with a couple of programs (Mediafour Macdrive). It's not a buggy operating system; if something is compatible, it should work without problems (duh). However, unless you have specific software that benefits from being compiled for 64 bit CPUs, or unless you need to access more than 3GB of RAM, it's pretty much pointless.

I'm running x64 Vista but that's only because with the absurd amount of Virtual machines I use I run 4 gigs of memory. Driver support seems better in x64 Vista tho. x64 XP driver support was kind of an afterthought for many oems but with Vista I'm almost always seeing x86 & x64 side by side.
