Windows XP: Won't let me install custom screensavers?

I've found a couple screensavers that I like, and I'm trying to get them to work in Windows XP Pro. I've copied the *.scr files to the system32 directory, and the dllcache directory, where all the other *.scr files are. When I select the screensaver in display settings, everything works fine, preview and all. Once I click OK, Windows selects "no screen saver".

Anyone have a clue what could be causing this? I'm confused, never seen this before.
Thnx

I know for my new themes to work I had to patch a file so that they would stay after every reboot and when I changed my start button I had to disable fileprotection on the explorer file and delete the one in dllcache so that it did not over right its self! but I found this site to be very informant Xptheme!

Couldn't find a way to fix my problem, but that's a pretty neat site. Thanks!
