You know how many websites with a login and password will allow you to remember your login and password with a simple check box. Well for some reason I can't get that to work. Namely I am using a yah00 mail account, and there is a check box that allows for remembering of my login [and password], but it simply doesn't remember it. I have a feeling it is a setting in IE, but I have no idea what setting that is. I am running Windows XP by the way, with presumably the newest Service Pack if there are any (since I just got my laptop). thanks for whatever tip people can give.

Tools -> Internet Options. Running linux so I can't check right offhand, but it's probably under security, or check advanced options... there's a whole mess of stuff you can check yes/no for. It should be pretty easy to find.

It sounds like someone is deleting your temporary internet files fairly often. Do you have anyone else using your computer?

You have to enable cookies...

Go here.

IE > Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab > Settings (area) > Click Advanced >

Check: Override automatic cookie handling
First Party Cookies = Accept
Third Part Cookies = Your choice

And the key... Always allow session cookies.

I tried allowing cookies like MoneySHOT said, and it still doesn't work. Swear I have those same exact settings...I even added www.yahoo.com as a site that allows all cookies, but nothing. I'll look into whether my temporary internet files are being deleted very often, though that is strange considering I tried to have the password remembered, closed the window, and opend it again and it forgot the login and password already. I don't think temp internet files are deleted that fast.
