Windows XP will not detect my Monitor Drivers

I have Viewsonic GS790 and Sony Multiscan 15sfII on dual monitor setup with Geforce 4 Ti/4400.

I have downloaded the driver files for both monitors, but when I do update drivers in device manager for either monitor and select the appropriate folder to search for the driver, windows xp says that no suitable or better driver was found. It is currently set up as Plug and Play monitors under device manager.

How can I install the drivers for these monitors? Is there a way to manually install them if Windows XP won't detect it?

Thanks!

I just noticed that this problem only occurs when I have both monitors attached in order to use dual monitor setup. If I just connect one monitor at a time, it will detect and install the drivers fine. Is this a problem with Windows XP or Geforce drivers? I have the latest Geforce drivers installed.

Does anyone else using dual display off one video card have similar problem?

Thanks!
