Windows XP upgrade CD?

I discovered that the Windows XP installation disks I have are unreadable. I bought a copy of Windows 2000 long time ago from Newegg when I bought the various parts for a system I built for myself. I still have that. Can I install Windows XP on my system (since swapped out that mobo for another) by doing some kind of upgrade? I really need XP on the machine. TIA.
