Ran into a weird windows XP problem I am trying to diagnose.

Went in, cleaned out tons of cruft from Windows for a custom installation via nLite.

Worked perfectly. Moved the PC over to where my HTPC once was, and started testing some sound stuff.

Problem.

The USB keyboard that I was using no longer works to input text upon Windows Login. It also doesn't work in safe mode.

I've tried it in all USB ports.

Further problem.

PS/2 keyboards do not have any accepted input. None. It won't type anything in the login - so I can enter a password, so I can enter Windows XP.

Since neither the USB keyboard nor the PS/2 keyboard works, any suggestions?

I need to boot into Windows XP

Sidenote:

Both USB and PS/2 keyboards work perfectly in the BIOS, boot section, and booted from any other OS.

(Edit)

After working at it more, the best I can figure out is that Windows doesn't have the USB keyboard's drivers installed.

But it also lacks a PS/2 keyboards drivers? The heck?

Ideas anyone? Any way to get past Windows XP's login without having to enter a password - and lacking both keyboard and mouse ability?
