Windows XP themes

can anyone suggest a place to get windows XP themes?

Are they OK to use in general? or do they bog down performance alot?

Deviant Art is one place to start. You may also need the UXtheme patch for most of the themes to work properly.

I disable most of XP's eye candy, but prefer to use custom themes (Luna Element 4 is my current favorite). With the eye candy disabled, I can't tell any difference between custom themes and the classic appearance.

They shouldn't affect your performance at all.

Thanks. I've looked around and am a bit confused. Do I need to download some other programs for these to work?

For instance: This Desktop Theme. This seems to change things around completely and I LOVE the design. What do I need to do to be able to use this?
