Ever since I got Windows XP (over a year ago)... I can't stand having all of my open programs grouping up and cascading when I only have a few browser windows open. I know how to turn it off, so it's like Windows 9x, or 2000. However, I like how it groups all of the same types together. Is there a way to customize it to have to group together, but not cascade? and/or is there a way to set the threshold higher before it starts to cascade? Perhaps in the registry? Thanks.

I *thought* tweakui could modify the threshold...

Yes, in tweakUI under "taskbar" it asks how many of the same type of files/programs need to be open before it cascades them (well it doesn't ask it in that long of a sentence, but you get the idea). Anyway, set that to like 10 (or whatever value you think you need) and it should group them without cascading (of course unless you open 11 instances!).

How about actually READING the question. He likes the grouping and the cascading. He just wants to set the threshold to a higher number before cascading.

and his question had already been answered because TweakUI can do it.

Because you can't do it easily from Windows. You can't do it at all from Windows. A tweaking program is necessary to do what he wants. You did not read the question properly the first time (if at all), and you haven't looked at it since, either.

Please read the freaking question before sounding off!
