When I try to set the password for my scheduled tasks I get the following error message:

An error has occurred while attempting to set task account information.
The specific error is:
0x80070005: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to perform the requested operation.

My account is in the Admin group. I have also tried this from the local Administrator account and I am getting the same error message.

It worked before so I am guessing that the network admins have made a change in the local policies and inadvertedly caused this problem as well?

When I check the event security log, every time that I try to set this password I get a Failure Event ID 534 from user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM with a reason of "The user has not been granted the requested logon type at this machine"

Does anyone know what needs to be changed in order for this to work again? My domain password has expired so I changed it, now none of my scheduled tasks work anymore! :(

Next, made sure my account was in the local security policy for "Log on as batch job" as well as SYSTEM account and Administrators group. Restarted Task Scheduler service.

And it still doesn't work!

I thought I would mention that I also can use the AT command from cmd prompt without error just fine. The problem I am having is with settings passwords for account used by the Task Scheduler jobs! :|

No SP2 installed (only SP1), however Automatic Updates could have patched something that SP2 would take care of as well?

What would've been your thoughts either way? I would of course be willing to try most anything! ;)
