Windows XP system requirements put to the test

I installed WinXP on a 233Mhz system once. Let's just say the timer in the Windows install that is never right with fast computers was about right with that beast.

I have WinXP running on a PII 266MHz laptop back at home. It was pretty unusable with only 32Mb of ram but I upgraded it to 256MB and disabled a lot of unneeded services and it works just fine now. I added a wireless card and my mom uses it as her primary computer now for online classes.
