Windows XP - Suse 10 firewire network?

I want to network my Windows XP Laptop with my SUSE 10 desktop. I have them both plugged into eachother thru firewire and now I am just wondering how I set up a direct connection between the two. I want to share files from both computers but I don't know how to set up a network from within SUSE. Some help would be hot.

Peace.

I haven't used firewire myself(in my ignorance I guess I just didn't know you could)...but using a crossover may be easier.

You need to setup samba on your SUSE box. I'm not intimately familiar with the process, but there should be a number of how-to pages out there.

I have done this before with mandrake

You're going to need eth1394 module loaded (along with ieee1394) and you are going to need samba on linux to get the windows file sharing going
