The most annoying problems in the world are the ones whose description begins, "It used to work."
So...
It used to work. I'm not sure exactly what happened in between "then" and "now," but I cannot get my 5.1 speakers working on my XP machine. I've used my Audigy Gamer before to use the 5.1 speaker setup. The problem now is that it can basically only send sound out through the front channels. Now that it's not working, I've also tried the onboard soundchip (nForce chipset), which supports 5.1, and it does not work either.
I thought it might be a physical problem with the speaker system itself. But I can plug the front speaker channel into either the center/subwoofer or the rear jack on the speaker system as well and it will come through those channels just fine.
Has anyone had ANY problem like this before or know of a problem like this? I'd greatly appreciate any help...2 channels just doesn't cut it anymore.
Need anymore info and I'll gladly reply. Thanks in advance!
