windows XP stuck in safe mode

hi

one of my desktop is stuck on safe mode. recently i just reformated it and reinstalled windows XP SP2 (i gotta go online to upgrade to SP3, but i'm not concerned with that right now). so after retinstalling windows XP successfully my computer keeps starting up in SAFE MODE!!! so i tried restarting my computer and pressed F8 to pick "Start Windows Normally" but even after doing that my computer still keeps booting up in safe mode. what's going on can anyone tell me? thanks

Boot back into the install disk and run threw a repair install. Obviously something didn't go right durring the install.

Maybe check msconfig, see if "Normal startup" is selected. If its on diagnostic startup, that might be your issue. If thats not it you might need to do as mpilchfamily said.

So i assume the msconfig deal didnt work, or was already set to normal startup?

its on normal startup... damnit looks like i have to reinstall fix xp now.
