I switched back from a dell 19" crt to an old crappy packard bell one and everything worked fine... then when I restart windows the bios screen displays and even the winxp screen shows, but then the monitor goes black (and the power light goes orange indicating power save or no signal from the PC)
but it works fine in safe mode...
is there any way to fix this? reinstall the standard monitor drivers or possibly lower screen resolution somehow? I thought it wouldnt be a problem as the smaller monitor worked fine upon being plugged in
