Windows XP SP2c - What files actually changed?

I recently purchased some spare parts to build myself a clone of the main computer I am using right now. I used trueimage to clone the hard drive, so I could keep the larger 500GB in my main machine, and the 250GB in the backup machine. I then tried to use magic jellybean to change the key of the backup machine, even though it is working fine because none of the hardware in either machine changed enough to make windows XP force a reactivation. I purchased a new copy of XP SP2c from newegg.com, but apparently the key on the sticker for that can't work with SP2b.

I don't really want to reinstall from scratch and reinstall all the software on the backup machine just to "update" the machine to SP2c where the only change is some way to accept new keys. Is there a way to copy a file or two from the SP2c CD so that I can change the key on that machine?

You can do an updrade install, this way you wont lose your settings and applications.
