Ok, I downloaded and installed XPSP2 RC1 on my laptop last night and I am quite impressed. IE6 now has a built-in pop up blocker that works like a champ and is very easy to customize. Autoupdater has been retooled significantly to ensure you have the latest patches running. The firewall has been reworked and truly is a blessing. If I open up an application and it tries to access the internet, I can easily allow it always, block, or allow this one time. Wireless Networking has been retooled as well and I seem to get better performance now than I have before. I can now see two of my neighbors wireless networks that I didn't know existed until I installed the patch. To be fair, I did see one before hand but it was off and on and spotty at best. The firewall is very customizable as well. So, far I am very impressed. What are your thoughts?

Yeah I downloaded it when it came out, despite hearing a few bad experiences, I couldn't help myself, and thankfully, it worked great. I agree, I really like the Firewall improvements, I don't use my software firewall anymore either. I have AVG7 though, and for some weird reason, the Security Center can't detect it, even tho it says it supports Grisoft. The windows updates have also been improved, and the built in pop up blocker is really handy. I stopped using I.E because of that, and the fact that it didn't have tabbed browsing( I use Firebird now). But the rest of my family uses I.E , and complain about pop ups a lot, so its really helped. Some people complained about some sort of memory leak caused by this, which was my biggest concern, but thankfully, nothing happened.
