I've got it running on a crashbox, works fine thusfar. I like the improvements they have made to the firewall, however I dislike that they have set the messenger service to disabled and than set an exception in the firewall to open the messenger service to the internet. I would have done it the other way around, left it running and than used the firewall to block outside access to it...

Oh well, all in all it seems to be fine.

I've been beta testing it for weeks and have encountered no problems with it. As said, I really like the new firewall enhancements.

Why do we need a new firewall? Even an Intermediate computer user should know about basic security. I feel sorry that Microsoft has to make allocations for idiots.

However the IE enhancements will be welcome. When is this going to be released?

Firewalls are considered a good thing these days. No one should get on the net without one.

This infers that all those without "intermediate computer skills" are idiots.
This is Very untrue.

A hardened firewall for the masses is a very good and worthwhile thing.
