windows XP shutdown = reboot

when i do a shutdown the computer automatically reboots.

any ideas?
 
Goto System Properties. Under the Advanced Tab goto Startup and Recovery. In Startup and Recovery uncheck automatically restart. That should fix your problem, but I think they may of fixed it through a update available at Windows Update.
 
you should make sure that when your shuting down your not by any chance prssing the restart button, you could also be pressing the restart button on your case if thats where you shutting down from~those are just some idea's hope i can help.
