Windows XP sharing, how to password protect?

Alright, set up another network, user wants to have access to the primary C: drive on the new computer (with Win XP Pro)
Wants it password protected so when he clicked to get there from his comp it asked for a password. I've got it now where it lets him on without any password but won't let him get into the Program Files directory or the Windows directory.

Thanks for your suggestions.

If u ar connecting from 9x u will need to enable and put a password on the guest acct. if u are connecting from an NT make sure that the permisions are set to only allow users /wpasswords to enter.

It's not quite that simple. There's an awful lot of things in XP that can influence who can connect to a share.

1)Are you using simple file sharing?
2)What have you shared?
3)What permissions are set on that directory?
4)What OS is on the machine that is trying to access the share? (the client machine)
5)Does the user logged onto the client machine have the same username and password on the host machine?
if yes to 5; 6)Does that user have administrative rights on the host machine?

Any of the above can affect the end result.
