Windows XP restore points - store in diff partition?

I have my primrary hard drive partitioned such that XP is installed on a 3 GB partition. My programs, etc, on are different partitions of the same drive. Anyway, when I go to system restore settings I can adjust the amount of disk space that can be used for restore points (the more space, the more points I can store).

Does anyone know if/where I can change the partition on which these restore points are saved?

the best way is to turn off system restore altogether and keep ghost image backups.
