Hi
Almost every night when i leave my computer on, it restarts. After it restarts it says that there has been an error to cause this. Does anyone know what may be the problem? I am running Windows XP, ecs k7ama mboard with athlon 1.4 ghz, gainward/cardexpert geforce 2 mx, 256 mb micron 2100 ddr ram. Anyone have any advice? Thanks

Yeah, but the real question is why the BSOD or system failure in the first place? I've only seen it happen once but while the computer is
idle the system crashes?

Its not like you can get anything (useful) out of a Windows error message?

Every once in a while, a message or filename listed in a BSOD can point to what the problem is. I would suggest disabling the Auto-Reboot "feature" and see what you can find out in the BSOD. You can do this by right-clicking My Computer>Properties>Advanced Tab>Startup and Recovery>Settings>System Failure, then uncheck Automatically Restart.

Did you even read the link???? Try reading it use the steps provided then come back when you have some more information provided by following the steps provided. If you would read the link you would find you can obtain something useful from the error message.
