Windows XP, Raptor Issue, question?

this isnt urgent, as the system works fine.

i recently did a clean install using windows xp pro w sp2 slipstreamed, installed the raptor, and for some reason, in windows, the raptor appears on the list with the icon in the tray as

"safely unplug hardware devices"

ive never seen this before, and ive had windows xp on this raptor in the past.

how do i:

#1 remove the icon from the tray
#2 take the raptor off of the list
#3 when i hit the reset button on the case, the system shuts down. is there a wrong setting in windows or is it hardware related?

thanks!

SATA is hot pluggable, why would you want to remove a feature? Someone mentioned a check box in the device manager as well iirc last time this came up, so that might be there. God anandtech needs a sticky telling people to search...

Control Panel -> Power Options -> Advanced has some button behavior options on my laptop at least, in addition to the BIOS ones.
