Hey guys, I'm using the VE drivers that gets installed by default now in XP and having a strange problem. If I have Windows XP set to use drop shadows and effects for the menus and mouse cursor, I get this problem when opening or closing a file/edit/ etc. menu, there's this annoying lag as the menu item drops and refreshing the menu item by moving on to another item or moving the mouse away from the entire menu, effectively closing it. It's as if the video card is having a tough time rendering the little shadow under windows. Happens with other ATI drivers as well.
I'm using a Sapphire Radeon 7000 32MB AGP on an Epox 8RDA+ board. Anyone have this problem?
Can't seem to find any posts regarding this and I've tried google.
I have 512MB of memory and did a fresh install of WinXP. I've had this problem before but just turned off all effects which fixes it but that's kind of boring.
