Windows XP Questions?

OK i have a system that has a 800 mhz Celeron II , 256 MB of PC100 SDRAM, on board sound and graphics and so on...its actually a OEM PC but anyways ...

how do u turn off the eye candy?
Where is the Pagefile...is it hiding?
Does your pagefile work better when put on a seperate Partition?


Also this is off topic but i read in magizines the X Box was 399 ...now im seein 299...which one is which!?

for the eye candy: right-click your desktop, change the theme to windows classic. you can also remove some stuff on the appearance tab, under "effects". to use the normal start menu, its in the control panel under "taskbar & start menu"

If you want to turn off all of the eyecandy, right click on the my computer icon then go to properties. In properties click on the advanced tab. Then click on the performance settings button. Change the setting to adjust for performance. You should have everything turned off then. You might also want to right click on the task bar and go to properties to turn off the double column start menu.
