How do I prevent what's pointed by arrow from happening? I would prefer if it would deploy a third row.

No "don't put so much crap in it" smart ass replies please.

that entire menu should have expanded out to 3 columns instead of 2, if your resolution supported it. You can also try going into the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties, Start Menu tab, Customize your Classic Start menu, and check off Scroll programs. That won't stop it from cutting off, but it should allow you to scroll further down if you have more items.

I'm not sure what the correct solution is, but an organized, hierarchical (nested) structure would save you a lot of headaches.

Something like:

Programs
-> Internet
---> Browsers
-----> IE
-----> Firefox
-> Video
---> QuickTime
---> Divx
---> Easy Video Splitter
---> Real
-> Games
---> Tetris

Increase your screen resolution. If you want to reorder them so they appear alphbeticly then click on START > PROGRAMS > THEN CLICK ON ANY OF THE SUBFOLDERS AND USE A RIGHT MOUSE CLICK > A MENU SHOULD APPEAR THEN SELECT ARRANGE ALPHABETICLY.

Reset it to normal start menu, then set it back to XP start menu. Also sort those icons out...
