I need to re-install windows xp pro. I have a valid product key for Win XP Pro upgrade, but my CD is damaged and some important files are now unreadable. MS will ship another CD to me, but it takes quite some time so I wondering if any of you would be kind enough to provide me an ISO image of your WinXP PRo upgrade CD. It has to be an Upgrade version that is legit or my key will not work.

Thanks

Anything else, I might consider with enough pictorial proof.

But an XP disc is waving a red flag in front of the proverbial bull. No dice, and this will probably get locked. Suggest you edit your post.

Hmm, I can provide proof if you like. My current XP cd actually loads when I insert it into windows...you just can't get it to complete cuz some files are damaged.

What kind of proof would you like?

Pics of the CD, macro shot of the underside scratches, and half your key would convince me.

But again, I'm afraid I'm not going to play with MS's "We Like To Rape You" antipiracy squad. Also, rereading your OP, I don't have an "Upgrade Edition" - sorry. :p

Well, I'm not going to provide my product key...at least not all of it. I will however provide pictures of the CD to anyone who has xp pro upgrade edition and is willing to make me an iso or provide me with missing files.

if i really wanted a cracked edition, there are ways to easily get one...I certainly wouldn't post here. But I own a copy and a valid product key...and a scratched cd :(

think about it this way, a win xp cd is useless w/o a valid product key unless it is a cracked version. so if i did not have a valid product key, any iso image u provided me with more or less be useless.

I would, but then some fool might try to use it one day. I can take pictures of my CD...I actually don't even need the whole ISO...just a bunch of files that are unreadable in the \i386 directory.

If I gave you a list of those files, could you provide those files?

Tempting MS's lawyer team is like jumping into a shark tank with a ribeye taped to your junk. Sorry man, nothing doing.

Just download a bootleg. If you have a valid key, get your official replacement CD from MS just delete the bootleg when it arrives. No one would sue you for that.

I have a Full version of XP PRO CD from my other machine. Apparently I can just use that with my product key from the Upgrade version. So please ignore my request for the ISO and files.
