Windows Xp problems

Hi, recently I upgraded to Windows XP home from windows 98 SE. I didn't do a clean install and just used the upgraded version. I've also recently added a new HD. I've had some problems since the upgrade. Some games and programs that should work fine for XP don't. I read that XP works better when on the NTFS HD format, and mine is on a FAT32 format. Could this have anything to do with my problems? This is the only thing I can think of. I've tried all different combinations of drivers for all of my other hardware.

Is that how the upgrade version works? I've been wondering about that...

Ok, right now I have two HD's. Would I be able to install XP on the second HD, change the boot sequence then just delete the windows directory on the first HD? I'm still new at this computer stuff, and not sure if that is the right thing to do.

the best way is to format and do a clean install of XP on ur master HDD.....

u can dual boot r system.. like mine.... ME on one disk and XP on another... jus install XP from within ME.. dun choose the 'upgrade' option
