Windows Xp Problem

I am having a problem with Windows Xp the only one and it is bugging me. I have 2 computers with this operating system and a peer to peer network. The problem is that that my dialup connection goes back to never dial a connection , could it be something with my network ? The operating system is really stable and no problems except for this. But the problem is on both computers. Any help or ideas would be appreciated, Gary
