Windows Xp problem

Hey guys I have a question, I just got my computer set back up and it seems to be running very slow. I went and pressed crtl alt del and I looked at my processes and my system idle Process was at 30. When I looked at my explorer it was about 90 and sometimes 80. I ended the process but I had to keep on bringing it back on to do stuff but it gets slower and slower. I dont know what to do.

What do you have for...

1. Version of WinXP = ?? (Pro, Home, Media Center)

2. Service Pack level of your WinXP is currently = ??

3. What type of Internet connection do you have (broadband, dial-up, ??)

4. Do you have a router, or no router

5. Do you have a software firewall, or no SW firewall

6. Do you have antivirus software? If so, precise brand and version of it = ?? (example: "Norton Antivirus 2003" or "McAfee VirusScan 8.0 Professional" or whatever, not just "Norton" or "McAfee")

7. Do other people use this computer ever?

8. Are there any other computers on the same network as this computer?

9. Did this happen right after you did something (installed new software, clicked a link in your IM program, etc)?

Its windows xp pro I dunno what service pack, I dont really wanna update that. I have gateway dsl, and no firewall. I dont have any anti and no one uses this comp other than me. There is one comp on the network and its my brothers, And the install thing I just installed my ram today, cause I had ocz gold vk 2x512mb and I burnt up one of the sticks so im just using one.

Ok, your computer is infected with worms now. DSL minus firewall plus non-Service Pack 2 = worms. I have several pages especially to get people through this routine safely. Start on this page.
