Well, here is my problem.

Windows XP was running great 2 days ago, then I got random restarts, and then it kept restart looping as I was trying to start it up while a blue screen, which I finally figured out was IRQL_not_less_or_equal error. So I formatted, tried a fresh install, got errors copying system files to my HD at the start of the Windows XP installation. And the errors happened randomly, sometimes 5%, sometimes 10%. And then sometimes I get a blue screen saying page_fault_in_nonpaged_area

So I got windows 98 installed though, but I tried upgrading to XP, same errors. Tried fresh install of Win XP on another HD, same errors. I have no idea what is going on either. I set bios back to default, still getting those errors. Maybe my XP CD got scratched?

Think it is my RAM? I am starting to think that since I got a page_fault_in_nonpaged_area error message

Thanks

Blue screens are usually the result of bad drivers or faulty hardware. If you post the full error message here, there are some experienced folks on this board who should be able to help you.
