Windows xp problem....please help!

Hey Guys,

My girlfriend's computer has a bit of a problem. The screen saver no longer works on windows xp. I try changing it to another one, still nothing. The screen saver can be previewed, but it will never go on. It started happening all of a sudden. Windows xp pro with service pack 1.....any ideas???? Thanks!
