Windows XP problem.......ggggrrrrrrr........

I just installed Win XP professional by updating win 2000 professional - now I am not able to log on to win XP till I have done " go back to the last successful login ' for at least 10 times .......

gggrrrr.....and that too if I am lucky.:|

Anyone else had this problem ???

Is there a solution ????

i didn't have that problem, but i installed xp about 3 weeks ago, well 2 days ago i put 2k back on. I just found so many minor things that bugged me. I personally am going to wait until they release a service pack or two. Good luck

The problem is that Win 2000 is not compatible with my SBL platinum.....

So have to stick with XP.......:frown:

All I can say is this: format your drive and do a clean install of WinXP... Upgrades are sometimes more trouble than they are worth....

I second the re-format. While I had no problems going from win2k to winxp I did a clean install a few days later just because...

I third the re-format. Just put XP on, running nicely.

2 formats later, XP is runnin fine. hopefully i wont have problems with it anytime soon.
