Windows XP Problem - All files marked as hidden

My sister got a bunch of viruses / malware on her computer. Couldn't even get it to boot half the time. I've gotten rid of everything. Problem is, 99% of her files on her compuer had been marked as hidden. I was able to go into the control panel / folder option and chose to unhide files, etc. Everything reappeared on her desktop / computer but they are still hidden because they are still marked at hidden under their file attributes.

How do I, or is there a program to change all the file attibutes on the computer back to being unhidden.

Thanks! Everything is now back to normal. Now I can back up her files and reinstall everything. I was starting to feel real bad because I thought I made her computer worse and would have to erase everything.
