I'm try to install windows XP (home edition) after reformating my C:. Every time I try to install windows from the disc, it will get to the license agreement and when I try to hit f8 to agree, my computer does not respond. My keyboard is fine, so thats not the issue. Then I tried to run creative suite 2007 and used the windows installation program. When I start the program it goes to a dos screen and I get this message:
"CD-ROM Device Driver for Ide (4 channel support)
Driver Version: 4340
Device Name: Banana
No drives found, Aborting
Device not found: Banana
No valid Cd-Rom device drivers selected"
I know that both of cd drives are connected properly and they work fine. I just want to be able to install windows on my C: without having to wipe out my D: (which has tons of data I don't want to lose), repartition my entire drive, and do a clean install of windows.
