I created a new profile for someone on a computer with windows xp professional, but for some reason when I try to add the internet explorer icon to the desktop, it doesnt appear. I can throw in a shortcut, but the standard icone from the desktop properties wont work. Anyone know how to solve this ?

Isn't there a check box in IE's Tools | Properties | Advanced setting?

Also, right-click the desktop, Properties | Desktop | Customize Desktop | click Internet Explorer checkbox (don't know why that's not working on yours - weird).
