Windows XP Pro User Accounts

Everytime my screen saver comes on, when I move my mouse to come back to my computer, it goes to the log on screen and I must click on my username to get back to my desktop. Now, when I do this, my computer is sluggish for about 2 mins because it seems like everything is trying to re-load. My power management has to never shut off hard disks, so I don't know why everything has to re-load. How can I switch things around so when I move my mouse to remove the screen saver, my desktop is just there, I don't want to go to the username log-in screen unless I actually go and log off of my screen name.

I went into the user control in the control panel, and there were a lot of options there, I don't want to mess anything up, so I figured I'd just ask a question first.

Thanks.

It might be that you have the 'On resume, password protect' box ticked in - display properties - screen saver.
You can get to display preoperties by right clicking on th edesktop and selecting properites from the menu.
If its ticked then untick the box and see if it resolves the problem.
