Windows XP Pro - TASK BAR IS GONE

I need help with my version of Windows XP Pro.

It takes forever to get thru the STARTING WINDOWS blue screen, and then takes forver to go thru the WELCOME screen.

Now when it loads up, I CANNOT access the taskbar, its not there!

Running Administrative Tools -> SErvices, I get a weird black spot for EXTENDED but I get the normal stuff for LOCAL.

The only real things I changed were:
I disabled Remote stuff (all of the stuff in SErvices that began with REMOTE))) and I disabled performance logging.
Now I can't edit ANY of the services... 🙁

BTW

Normal bootup time was 30 seconds - from the time I hit the power button to the time I can start My Computer/IE.

now its abut 5 minutes

You need RPC....remote procedure calling. You probably turned that off. That is a service that you need.

This is for DLLs to call each other properly from around the system, and has nothing to do with people outside your machine.

I disabled them all (except for performance logging) in my 2000 Pro SP-2 machine and nothing bad happened (luckily)...
