Windows XP Pro 'startup' section

This may sound silly but I am really in a bind.

Awhile back, I placed a application into the startup area of Windows XP so I can have it start with Automatically with Windows reboot.

Right now, I don't wish to use that application any long but I cannot find where that section is now.

Can someone please help? I remember it's a folder under Windows installation folder but I cannot find it!

What do you mean by the "startup area of Windows XP"?

I think he means the Startup folder. IF you place it in the startup folder it should show up in msconfig. So go to Start > Run > "msconfig" and go to the startup tab and untick it.
